Zoe was our foundation bitch, bred by Wayne and Judith DeCarli. She was the pick bitch from Zipper's very last litter. She earned her UD at age nine in style. After her last perfect go-out and finish, she smiled and looked up at me as if to say "Damn, we're good!" It was one of those extraordinarily memorable moments in dogs.
Zoe died in December of 2005, at thirteen and a half. We keep expecting to look over and see her lying in that sunny spot on the floor, but she isn't there. She is deep in our hearts, though, and we see her clearly in the faces of her kids and grandkids.
